Nature creates perfect art. Whether the cause of this is divine intervention or the complex synchronous rhythms of the universe, Mother Nature’s sky is beautiful. Night or day, rain or shine, there are beautiful aspects in the clouds that should not go unnoticed.
My father is the one who pointed out the beauty of the sky to me. While hunting one afternoon, my dad and I were silently waiting on an approaching flock of ducks. As they approached, my dad told me to look at the sky. I thought he was looking for the ducks, but instead he was mesmerized by the brilliant purple sky, streaked with magentas, blues, and ambers. My dad and I were taken away by the beautiful sky and we failed to notice the flock of ducks flying to safety. Since that moment, at age 12, I have often looked up at the sky to catch my breath, relax, and regain my momentum.
I look at the sky for the various colors, textures, and rhythms that are superbly and exquisitely. Just by looking up on a clear dawn, the colors are completely breathtaking. The textures of the sky slowly changes as the sun appears along the horizon, the clouds move with the wind and the shadows soften. This rhythm of nature is so amazing that it happens every day, and all the living creatures revolve around the fact that the brilliant sun rises and falls every day.
As human beings, we are affected by the beauty of the colors, textures and rhythms of nature. For me, this particular image elicits an overwhelming feeling of serenity. This harmonious balance of peacefulness and content is caused by the analogous colors so perfectly chosen by Mother Nature. Here, the universe perfectly chooses shades of purple, magenta, and red to take our collective breath away resulting in a peaceful calm. Clearing the mind of worry and being still for just a moment may be the perfect fresh of breath air that we have been looking for.
When looking for your breath, sometimes it helps to look up at the sky.
