Born in Europe, I have to say…we love winter weather…or should I say we loved winter weather!? Winters in Europe are similar to the one beautiful snow-day that we had a day after Christmas, with one exception – plowing begins the minute snow starts coming down and continues through the night. Businesses and schools stay open and life never stops.
Things are so different here. One day of snow left us “snowed out” for 3 days. Our entire 40 ft. awning collapsed right on top of the railing. It took us 2 ½ hours to drive to work, only to find out that we could not get in!
In order to carry in two truckloads of flowers for Jamie & George’s wedding, we had to climb a ladder as loading docks and ramp were not accessible.
As if that was not enough, Michael felt he needed just another challenge. At 3.30am in the morning of New Year’s Eve, he slipped on ice, fell, and ended up in ER with a severe muscle sprain!
I must say, despite pain, coming back to work straight from ER, and hopping 8 hours on one leg instead of using his crutches, he did an amazing job. The room looked fabulous and in the end of the day – isn’t this all what counts? That day I was really proud of my limping husband!!!
